I am Daniel Althoff. My study of balance in fitness began over ten years ago as I sought for unity between my body, mind and spirit. I practice Qi Gong, Yoga, Tai Chi, Jeet Kune Do, Judo, Aikido, Capoeira, and traditional boxing, as well as classic strength training and cardiovascular endurance exercise. I am an ISSA certified fitness trainer since 2008 and in 2010 completed credits of Specialization in Fitness Nutrition.

This study is my passion and from it I learned to simplify my own fitness. I have devised new and challenging training situations that keep routines fresh while constantly striving toward measurable gains on multiple levels. My goal is to share this information. I am personally committed to positively influencing anyone interested in simplifying fitness by shedding preconceived notions and devoting true effort to self introspection. I have the knowledge to guide you on such a journey so that you can realize personal goals of your own, and revel in the joy that comes with a healthy balanced existence.

This balance of physical, mental and environmental conditioning can, with time, bring about a mindfulness that will have longstanding benefits to more than your outer appearance. I intend to make a life's work of helping others remove their inhibitions, realize their potential and find their spirit - releasing their will to do and be all that they desire.

THE SIMPLIFY FITNESS PHILOSOPHY
Simplify Fitness is a call to the senses. With some floor space, our own body weight, and the will to forge our body into something strong, capable and balanced, we can get in shape. Searching for balance between body composition, performance and overall health is the goal. Identifying activities we enjoy, and doing them with vigor is the method. Learning the process of inserting fitness into our daily routine because it brings us joy and a sense of accomplishment, is what I will teach you.  By adopting this philosophy we will lay the foundation for lifelong lasting fitness.

What we need is to go outside in nature and challenge ourselves every single day to reach the goals we have set.

To Simplify Fitness is to get down to basics.
To Simplify Fitness is to set goals and achieve them.
To Simplify Fitness is to wake up feeling powerful
because your body respects your will.

To Simplify Fitness is to trim away the unessential.
To Simplify Fitness is to find what you enjoy.
To Simplify Fitness is to challenge yourself.
Let Simplify Fitness teach you to enjoy the challenge.

To adopt the Simplify Fitness Philosophy we must acknowledge a simple truth to ourselves: There is no magic pill to pop, no special diet to eat and no piece of equipment that will make us fit. We do not need an expensive gym membership with treadmills and elliptical machines, or a pile of barbells, or an overhead press machine. We need only our will and the moment.

To Simplify Fitness is not a method or series of exercises prescribed as an end-all to fitness. It is much more than an effort for a slim, sexy body - although those benefits will likely follow. Instead, it is a quest to understand and explore fitness options and possibilities for the individual; an unending journey designed to balance the being and strengthen the will.

Simplify Fitness provides a framework to test the self, identify limitations and subsequently eliminate them. Goal-setting and achieving supports the belief that anyone can trim the unessential components of a workout routine and their own body. The philosophy nurtures personal challenges and helps shape both the mental and the physical self.

The ultimate achievement is to apply the skills and strengths honed by simplifying fitness to all aspects of life so that we remain healthy and productive on all levels in a manner that is respectful to our earth.  Simplifying fitness will provide endless joys if you are willing to receive them.

I encourage you to contact me to ask questions as you discover a path toward fitness, personal growth, and balance through the holistic approach of Simplify Fitness. Here's to you, and your journey! Let me know how I can help.
